Top 5 facts about Eureka Tower
- Eureka Tower stands at 297 metres in height.
- It is the second tallest all residential building in the world.
- Eureka Tower has the second highest apartments in the world, its highest being the 87th fl oor penthouse 278.5 metres above ground level.
- Building began in August 2001 and required 5,000 tonnes of reinforced steel and 110,000 tonnes of concrete. The façade of the tower consists of 40,000 square metres of glass and aluminum panels.
- The glass is specially designed to refl ect heat in the summer, but to retain heat in the winter.
